The Helmholtz Association is the largest German research organisation.

Its task is to pursue the long-term research goals of the state and society as a whole.

Junior researchers can engage in independent research and improve their research profile in the Helmholtz Association’s Young Investigator Groups.

Helmholtz: Postdoc Programme

Programme description: Enables talented young researchers to work independently on a research topic of their choice and establish themselves in their field of research. To promote equal opportunities, at least half of the positions in the programme are granted to women.

Helmholtz: Young Investigators Groups

Programme description: Provides the best foreign and domestic junior researchers with excellent working conditions in a research-oriented environment.
